Astrid Karnebeek, Advising Associate

Astrid Karnebeek, Associate of Inside Track To College, Inc., relocated in 2000  to Florida from the Netherlands where she worked as a Nurse for over 22 years. Her whole professional life has been devoted to connecting with people, getting to know them and developing strategies to help them meet their goals.

As a new immigrant, Astrid was unfamiliar with the US educational system and who had lots of unanswered questions. She started volunteering at her children’s high school in the guidance office and became an integral component of the post-secondary process.

For many years she operated the career center at Olympic Heights Community High School helping  parents and students with the college preparation, selection, scholarship  and application process. In the past few years, Astrid has been instrumental in the implementation of four career centers in other high schools in Palm Beach County.

Astrid’s knowledge of the college preparation, selection and application process linked with her genuine concern for others and her thoroughness, are key to helping a student find the college where they will thrive.

Astrid obtained her certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant from  the University of California – Irvine. She’s a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and SACAC.
